Brownie, I need to have one of those Powerboat Row medallions for the Cigarette. Please send me your phone number so I can get one ordered. Thanks in advance.

Looking at the list really reminds you that Don really had it goin' on!

Ya know Don did things unusually different business-wise. Most compnaies would build a boat model called a Formula...then redesign it and make a Donzi...then redesign it and make a Cigarette and then an Apache'...and have a complete model line under one umbrella....Don jumped from forming one company and moving to the next...as he moved onward he had to nearly start over and over again. Then he would leave the previous boat(s) go to somebody else who would in essence compete with his new company.
He was a great man and inventor and designer but I think he learned from the school of hard knocks from a business standpoint. He should have had them all and sold them all...become a multi-millionaire and it sure would be nice if he we alive to tug Reggie's nads from time to time.
That f$cker Reggie is left to compete with himself.

I think Don's plan was to sell a known boat company at an inflated price.... Put half the money in his pocket... take the other half and start a new company to compete. In stories I've read.... he didn't leave enough cloth and resin behind to make a hatch cover when he sold a company.
