Imagine a 32 or 34 aluminum version. That could work with twins, no?

Gas prices in England are probably 4x what they are here, so they boat a little differently than us in the states. Cougar's website is http://www.cougar-powerboats.com

They're still making some great boats, but just a little smaller than they used to.

I guess there is no mold for an aluminum boat like a Cougar. I wonder if Cougar still has the plans for any of the older aluminum boats.

The problem with the aluminum boats is weight. In 20 years, the weight of FRP boats has been cut in half- or more. Aluminum still has the same strength-to-weight ratio it always did.

Skater quotes hull weight at 5,000# on the 46. The aluminum 50 Cougar weighed around 11,500# bare.

Knew a guy with a wooden 30 (MAYBE A 32?) that cracked a seam in a fuel tank. Totally ruined the boat. The smell never went away

The heaviest 50' Cougar cat was the first one, Popeye's, at 8,010 pounds. Don't know what the lightest one weighed. I weighed the first one myself....
