Re: Kaama whats the word?
I know ONE thing!!
When I working up there a couple of years back, me and KAAMA took that beast out. We went for a run in it. It ran like a BAT out of HELL!! It was VERY LOAD. My ears were ringing the next morning. He blamed it on the engine hatch being OFF. Yeah right!! IT was those SWEEET sounding Stellings!! :D I can just imagine how its going to run this time! Best of luck KAAAMA!!! GET ER DONE@!! :D :D |

Re: Kaama whats the word?
You guys are right, it's been a long haul and I just want to have that euphoric feeling of being out on the water again like everyone else does.
Oh by the way, pay no attention to Dyno/Don he's one of my good boating friends and I still accept him for who he is-----even though he was an abused child, and doesn't know any better. ;) ......... :D :D :D |
Re: Kaama whats the word?

Re: Kaama whats the word?
well , reving those poppers to 5800 on the dyno while decreasing the load isn't the same as running them in that tugboat there going in.
:D :D |
Re: Kaama whats the word?
Waterfoul, I won't make the Memorial day weekend because of things I can be doing on the boat with the three day weekend at hand, plus the weather is a little sketchy....I will however be heading to the marina next weekend with the boat rain or shine, see you around this summer?...get that motor going.....hows your job status these days Mike?....Fred

Heading to T.C. for the weekend. Next week I will be getting started on the motor for my boat. I finally have everything at my house so I can work on it. Garage is full of junk, but it's all there!! LOL!! And I'll see you around this summer if you ever invite me out on your boat!! On a slight tangent.... you have 2 in college now, right?? You'll be needing gas money if that's the case!! |
Re: Kaama whats the word?
Congrats Mark :evilb: :evilb: They are lookin good, glad your going to be back to boating....
LOL It pays to have ( • )( • ) :D I didn't even have to pry for the #'s :D |
Re: Kaama whats the word?
Mike...yes two in college....actually one is done with her training...(Douglass J Beauty School), and she turned 21 on the 23rd,(look-out!) the other just completed her first year at Western Michigan University...anyway yes they still cost me.... but the two of them have stayed out of trouble and are both still single (that has also saved me $) good to hear that your job is still there, we are finally getting busy here in the machine tool manufacturing also, for about a year it was getting pretty dry, anyway get that motor back together and do some boating, we will be doing trips to hanky-pank this year as I showed the daughters that place last season and well...who wouldn't like it!....talk to soon Mike....Fred

Re: Kaama whats the word?
KAAMA runs that loud exhaust so he can show off his super smooth idle!! Probably the only 900 HP NA motors in the world that idle like 330's! :D

Dave
Take a look at your cup and tell me if it's half full or half empty. I bet I know the answer. Mark We should try to met up at the dunes this year for some more pictures. I know I could use some. |
Re: Kaama whats the word?
If anyone cares heres my numbers off the dyno earlier this week. 548CI, Merlin X intake, 1050 dominator, AFR 315 CNC heads.
677 HP at 5700rpm on what I believe is a pretty legit dyno. |

Hey, last year I was in South Haven for the 4th of July and it was awesome---wished I had my hog in the water and I was thinking of possibly hanging out around St. Joe/South Haven for the 4th of July again this year only WITH my puddle jumper. I am hoping Doug's Cover Girl will be back in the water by then. |
Re: Kaama whats the word?
So Kaama....what is the official date to put that "Hog" in the water going to be?....Fred

Re: Kaama whats the word?
Ian/Patriot, looks like several of us will be in the water here pretty quick. I am quite sure it will be the other way around---your boat will certainly handle much rougher seas than mine.
Dyno, Looks like you're up to bat. I stopped in at WESCO's shop today, and saw your blocks all machined, and in plastic bags with your cranks, pistons, etc sitting there ready for the engine stands. I am sure he will start assembling them ASAP. I will probably have mine out of there by Tuesday or Wedensday of next week, put the headers on and plug them into the boat. Hey Vette/Craig---thanks for your optimism, but we dyno tested my engines with my raw sea water pumps, and alternators, and didn't quite make it to 900hp---I know you were kidding anyway, but I must say they DO have a smooth sweet ilde for a 565cid ---about 750rpm or so in neutral. I have the MSD crank trigger system, going through the Crane Hi-6M ignition boxes. Where ever you set the timing, that is where they stay! The timing never moves like the pick-up will have the tendancy to do a bit in a distributor, so I think it may aid a bit in idle quality. |
