Down here the Sarasota Herald Tribune, aka The Sarasota Fishwrapper, aka The Sarasota Bird Cage Liner is as biased as any newspaper in the country. I suppose the fact that they are owned by the NY Times accounts for some of that.

During the "RaisetheBridge" campaign last year, despite sending irrefutable proof of many many issues, they NEVER got it right. They wrote editorials that actually advised the Board of County Commissioners to completely ignore/circumvent the USCG. That went over REAL well.

We won and got our 12 ft. bridge.

RaisetheBridge went up against the County, FDOT, Venice Chamber of Commerce, Sarasota Herald Tribune, Nokomis Area Civic Association, I think even the girl scounts.
