We are putting in at Aquia Creek on Sat. morning and running up to Occoquan Bay and staying at Occoquan Harbour marina Sat night, good rest. & bar there. Sunday heading down the bay to Gilligans the Worx start at 3:00-7:00 and then going too Cobb Island 15 min. ride for the evening, staying at Shymanskys marina, Bill told me they have good food and nice docks. Jim & Crystal in the BT will be joining us.

Is the "WORX" band at Gilligan's the same band that plays at "Mango's at Smith Mt. Lake ???? If so they are a great band!! We have a group of boats going to Port Kinsale Marina Friday for the weekend,but if the WORX is playing at Gilligan's we will definately be back Sunday.

Thats the band, seems to be very well known in VA. Also the same WORX band that played at the Richmond Poker run last year. Best cover band I have ever seen.

Gilligan's will have the shuttle boat running. The pier will only hold about 15 boats. The rest anchor out and shuttle will pick you up. A word to the wise!!! Coast Guard pulled me over last week end for a routine safety inspection, not far from Gilligans, they indicated they will be out Memorial day weekend. While they were very cool about the insepection and everything was okay, last Labor Day I was pulled over 3 times in the same day, actually me twice and my son once, but we were anchored and rafted up. 2 by MD DNR police and once by the Coast Guard. Not trying to scare anyone, if you come to that section on the river, have your stuff together. Have fun hope to see everyone at Gilligans.

Plan is to run the Potomac on Sunday, and hit Gilligan's in the evening. I am going to try and get a slip where James and Jim will be.

Then going to pick up MS on Monday morning and head up to Alexandria for brunch and into DC to watch Rolling Thunder from the River.

they do have good food, as does Capt Johns directly across the street. be careful coming in the potomac side of the sound, kind hug the poles the channel isnt real wide. You may see my Tiger there in the sound if you do ring my cell 410-746-0020. we may head up to gilligans sat night.
