35 executioner speeds

with 496 ho's and xr drives what are you getting???

Re: 35 executioner speeds

Check the Fountain section. There have been a few threads on this subject. The 2003 35' I looked at stated 80 mph on the Fountain performance report with 496's.

Re: 35 executioner speeds

Thanks Candyman, I had heard 77 but wanted to hear it from some real folks. Thanks again.

Re: 35 executioner speeds

77 to 78 is what I figured the boat would do. I questioned the dealer about the performance sheet and they said it was accurate.

77 to 80 mph with 496motors??? Those are some very respectable numbers from a big boat with minimal power!!!!

the only time it'll see 80 is on the Pamlico with 3 gals of gas, no gear, a 125lb. driver, and thier props. :D

check out the Formula 353 Sport. More weight, more size...similar speed, with fuel and out of the box Bravos. ;)

see the 353 Sport thread in the Formula forum.

Re: 35 executioner speeds

how bout 78mph, 3/4 tank of fuel and 3 passengers in the Barnegat Bay in NJ. And that was with minimal trim 1 ft chop and not even pushing. At 80 it touches the limiter and has the new style Bravo's. BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK OUT THERE !!! A new one cost in the $160K area...got an 05 that you can steal in the $130's with 10 hours on her. CHECK THE CLASSIFIEDS.

Rippem 05-25-2005 07:42 AM

Re: 35 executioner speeds

that's salt correct?

I agree, good bang for the buck.

BIG boat? Come on, we all know that it's really a 30' boat!! :D

A freind has that boat.
77 - 78 all day long

Re: 35 executioner speeds

Also check your drive ratio's. BillR is referring to a guy (Donziman2) that discovered he had 1.65's after crawling all over the rev-limiter (no exaggeration) with stock 32p Bravo props 4 big guys and full bags. Otherwise had us scratching our heads until we discovered the ratios. Runs really great with the 5 blades on it at cruise and out of the hole.

Is it really that long without the beak and swim step?? I figured it was a 28'er... :D :D :D

**note to Fountain guys, that was a joke, they do turn some very respectable numbers. ;)

I don't spend much time at Pleasant at this point in time, it's usually either Saguaro, Bartlett or Parker/Havasu. That's fixing to change though depending on which way I go with the next floating hole. ;)

I usually go to Pleasant or Havasu, I like Saguaro but have no patents to wait in line for hours to get on the lake.. Pleasant just passes time and gets me on the water but Memorial weekend will be a good time, always has been!!!

I was planning on hitting the lake this weekend but sold my 21' Schiada today and don't feel like holiday water in my 19' jet. Back to the drawing boards.

I don't like the lines either, but I have found being out early, or late solves that problem. Sunday afternoon on the beach at Saguaro is a good time, almost as much fun as Greasewood Flats on Sunday afternoon in the couple months it's too cold to boat here. :D

Re: 35 executioner speeds

Congrats (or maybe not) on selling your boat, thats always the biggest pain. I have a hard time getting my wife out of the house early enough to get to Saguaro to miss the lines. I come from the west side so its takes quite a drive. We hang at Humbug cove, definatly same party atmosphere just no beach.

Re: 35 executioner speeds

I'm actually pretty stoked on selling it. Now I just have to decided if I want to go the 35' Cig route or the 30' Spectre with 300x's route. Right now the Spectre is making much more sense. :D

Re: 35 executioner speeds

Both awesome boats, i'd be scared of insurance though!!!

jordy 05-26-2005 01:39 AM

Re: 35 executioner speeds

Unfortunately, that's not an issue, or the decision would be much easier. Like $200 a year. The gas issue is pointing the Spectre way very hard. ;)

FOUNTAINATLAST 05-26-2005 01:41 AM

Re: 35 executioner speeds

You found insurance for around 200 a year on either of those boats???

FOUNTAINATLAST 05-26-2005 01:42 AM

Re: 35 executioner speeds

Gas on the other hand is steep around here!!!

Sorry, that was the difference between the Spectre and the Cig. $200 a year. ;)

Re: 35 executioner speeds

I had a 2004 35x, It ran 78 anytime and 80 if i loosened it up to the edge of out of control. when it would hit 80 i would be on the rev limiter. I never tried different props.
