Check the Fountain section. There have been a few threads on this subject. The 2003 35' I looked at stated 80 mph on the Fountain performance report with 496's.

Thanks Candyman, I had heard 77 but wanted to hear it from some real folks. Thanks again.

77 to 78 is what I figured the boat would do. I questioned the dealer about the performance sheet and they said it was accurate.

77 to 80 mph with 496motors??? Those are some very respectable numbers from a big boat with minimal power!!!!

the only time it'll see 80 is on the Pamlico with 3 gals of gas, no gear, a 125lb. driver, and thier props.

check out the Formula 353 Sport. More weight, more size...similar speed, with fuel and out of the box Bravos.

see the 353 Sport thread in the Formula forum.

how bout 78mph, 3/4 tank of fuel and 3 passengers in the Barnegat Bay in NJ. And that was with minimal trim 1 ft chop and not even pushing. At 80 it touches the limiter and has the new style Bravo's. BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK OUT THERE !!! A new one cost in the $160K area...got an 05 that you can steal in the $130's with 10 hours on her. CHECK THE CLASSIFIEDS.
