Jiminy ..why 6K Can you break it down ? All liability? How much are you covered for .. I have 2 million in Liab. for my biz and its only a couple grand.
How do they base it ..age , driving record, value of the vehicle etc
Thats a rediculous amount for ins !!!!

I dont think anyone knows how they break it down. That was the cheapest of the 2 premiums. Most of it will be liability. Its the going rate down here in Fl. Remember alot of guys are paying mid 3's with a 5 month layup. Cant get layup insurance down here. A friend in my club with a 36 Spectre was quoted 11,000. It has twin 650's, but still he cant accept that either as a premium. If you wanna cat your gonna need deep pockets or need to live up north were you can get that break on the layup period.

There gripe is when these boats file claims their usually totaled and a death is involved. I cant argue with that, but if you been in one for 3 years, you gotta be doing something right. I'll bet most of the claims were people new to the boat or the sport.

<<I called my agent and told them what is was, rated hp and everything, $1500 a year. But I also have my house, my trucks and everything I owned insured through them. The 35' Cig I was looking at was $1300 a year. Hard to argue with an extra couple hundy for this. I think I'll pay a couple years in advance to lock it in. >>

What do you make of this ?
