Hey Dean, I understand your frustration with the no wake zone issues in Fl. Iv'e run out there, it does suck. And I believe I know of the ad you are referring to in PBM that was from the save the manatee people. But as I recall it was a mistake and Becker took some beating for it and moved on. You don't see the manatee ads in there do you? People make mistakes, get over it. If the mag doesn't appeal to you for other reasons, then hey, more power to you. Not everyone can agree on the same thing. But go easy man. And to say they don't care what's happening down there is a bit of an overstatement. They fly out there to do tests regularly. I believe they care.

I feel for you guys. I know my brother would not be able to live down there. he only knows two speeds. Off and WFO.

I just like to see how fast I can cruise

I have to idle 1/2 hour out 1/2 hour in each time I use my boat in Newport so I know what idling is! I just build it into the schedule. But...I'm sure you guys have it worse.

Call him for the details. I hear no evil, see no evil or speak no evil (ok, most of the time)

I think he was on his way out the door when he wrote his article about the Desert Storm Poker Run. For some reason he needed to write about "Girls gone wild' and the history of Robert McCulloch. All most nothing about one of the most kick ass poker runs we've had. I got him a room at the Nautical and he might have well not even been there.

Maybe just my sour grapes but, damn; there was a ton more to write about!
