Was good to see you again. But I think every weekend is getting to be a bit much. Glad you were there though to clarify how to get home. But who would have thought Exchange Place was in Jersey?? Storm I did not see you there Sat morning. But we also did not get down to the docks to about 10 or 10:30. As usual I had a geat time and weekend. See most of you guys again in August for the Mahasset Bay run.. |

Re: New York City Poker Run
Titan, I got there around 8, stayed till 9.30.
It sure is nice out there when no ones on the water yet. BTW, on my way back up the east river, I saw a 27 activator running down, probably toward the Run. All white w/ purple interior. Anyone know that boat? |

Re: New York City Poker Run
Well I had front row seats to the boats on the way back...we blew the left engine about a mile from the Tapanzee. I'm sure most of you saw us sittin there, the boat was GO TIME, 34 Scarab. We had to putt back on one engine all the way back, took about 3.5 hours. I did get some awsome pictures of the rest of you coming back though. I'll put them up as soon as I can. It was cool seeing the front running boats going by at 150mph. It would have been a fun run if we didn't have such bad luck, but we still had a good time.

A couple from later, but none from WAY later. We tried to go to that sandbar place across the water there and they wouldn't let us in because we were wearing jeans and sneakers, BS. I got my pops in one of the pictures with me, he had about 8 Dewars and Soda's. Then my brother showed up and we through him in the mix. Notice the hat on my brother in the second pic...I know you'll like that as a New Yorker. |

Did any one see Rio Roses around the front of the pack? or was it too rough? Just to let you know ,We had nothing to prove there, We just took the boat out for a ride. We do are racing on the race course, Not at poker runs. Mike Rio Roses |
Re: New York City Poker Run
I guess we made a Big Hit because everyone knew we were there.

Re: New York City Poker Run
It was good to see you guys again!
Hell, at the driver's meeting it felt like old times in the B-Class. The entire old ShockWave Team was all under the same tent along with Joe Sgro and a few others that were are competitiors we saw walking around. Where else can you go when your not racing? Poker Running! :drink: Just to set the record straight on Rio Roses. They were not entered to run the "King of The Hudson Race". They were in the 100 mph+ Poker Run group. They were only playing with the hands they were dealt with. Great to see them there! Maybe next year Reggie will challenge the "King of the Hudson"! :drink: |
