Before you fall out of your chair, this is legit.

I'm looking for a boat for the department's Scuba Unit, of which I am a member.
This is no tail of woe, it's just that the City simply will not foot the bill for a new/used 25ft "Whatever" that the Suba Unit can use to facilitate their dives for life and property. If you do or know of someone that can/will, plz. let me know. As with any donation, it's tax deductable.

i had a buddy who donated his boat to the police, and his house, car, bank accounts.....

i would contact a manufacturer and maybe they have a test boat or the like that never had a VIN that they could donate to a city....

What manufacturers would fall into that catagory?

maybe a boston whaler or something like that.... worth a shot? i would shoot for a smaller center console type with outboard, they are going to be cheaper and easier to find....
