White Vinyl in Cabin Devoloping Yellow spots..Help
I'v noticed my white vinyl in my cabin has developed some yellowish discoloring in some areas. I was wondering if this is mildew? I'm not sure?? Has anybody had this happen to them and whats the best way to remove this?

I covered my dash in white vinyl last year... I've got the same problem. I think bleed-through from the glue. Mine is not real bad, but it really makes me mad from all the time it took :mad:

I dont think its the glue in my case. Its not a new vinyl job and just noticed it yesterday. I think its related to the summer humidity, but not sure?

I looked at a 353 fromula that had the same problem in the white marine vinyl inside the cabin ....not sure what it is or the cause but sure is a bummer ....

I had the same thing in my cabin. I had a vinyl repair guy come and re-dye the vinyl. Looks new now.
I never was sure what caused the spots. One person suggested mildew on the backside bleeding thru. Let me know IF you ever figure out what it is. |

Bleach will clear up mildew stains. A marine repair shop recommended it to me. Our ski boat always has mildew after winter storage, been using it for years with no ill effects on the vinyl.

Patriyacht, How do you apply your bleach. Straight or diluted?
