I wish someone could custom make one, say 9x9' that would better fit my Nortech.

I had a Lost Bwana and I gave it away in favor of the Anchor Shade.

The Lost Bwana is a heavier material, but since its heavier, the arms don't spread the material out far enough. The thing always has a tent shape to it. In other words, it was not wide enough for my 37AT. Because it always has a tent shape to it, it catches more wind, and tries to blow over more, even though its heavier.

They have upgraded the construction of the Anchor Shade. I just bought a new one from West Marine. Yes, its a lighter fabric, but it covers more area of the boat, and I like the product a little better. The Anchor Shade opens to more of a flat surface when fully opened, and not so much tent shape. This allows the breeze to pass over or under it, without catching it and wanting to bend it over so much.

Neither product is going to replace a bimini, and they both have their limits. I was all excited about the LostBwana when I bought it, but I used it for one weekend, and gave it to a friend with a 7' beam boat.

I have recent experience with both products, so there's my $.02.

Everyone here has Anchorshade. They are very nice. I remember the first time someone broke one out everybody laughed....within 15 minutes they were all in his boat underneath it .

Now everyone has them

I like mine. Just havent really used the full set up yet, i stick the pole in the grab handle and it seems fine. Anchorshade is a little pricey, but worth it

DP...Yes, order the white one. I had a dark purple bimini on my last boat, and now have a white Anchor Shade, much cooler. I'm happy with the quality of the Anchor Shade and have no regrets with it's purchase. $139 at West Marine, not a big difference in price anyway.

I just bought the Anchor Shade one this past weekend at west marine . One thing I noticed that the straps aren't long enough and on the fiberglass poles the shade holder pull off if you pull the straps to tight. It makes a diff in the heat

Bought mine from Lostbwana. Very happy with it, but I thought it was supposed to include tent stakes?

Very true !!
Experience the relief it provides one time and you will get one yourself.
We've been buying them too so if everybody has one they must be 'cool' right ??
Need a model with a heavier pole to double as a stripper pole.
Then even the drunkest clowns would have nothing smart to say.
