The WP will not be inforcing the noise law the weekend of the shootout. It is amazing that when there is a benefit going on that supports them (well the fire departements) they seem to forget about that law for the weekend.

I got a warning last year at the shoot out and was told to put it on the trailer.
I will be working very hard the next 2 days to make mine quiet. It won't look pretty but it may work.

Thanks for all replies...looks like after the shootout, may have to re-think coming back. Too bad to, we have an absolute blast down there. Looks like it's going to go to the point where all the fun will be ruined...
Funny, aren't most of those home weekend boaters' homes? Wouldn't they want people to actually come to their lake, support the local economy?
Guess the next boat will have Silent Choice.
...and Hammer, I didn't know my boat would actually start that quiet! Although, Teah started it up Sunday and puller it off the trailer. You think I'm bad, somehow she got the throttle to nearly 4500 rpm while starting
. Talk about some noise (and a little scare) until the pipes got water through them to quiet them down! Made my heart skip when I thought I was going to have to rebuild the engine one week before LOTO!
