Default Anyone else heard of Apollo Maxim 31'?

I purchased this from the Port Chester, NY Yact Club. Twin 454's, MercTrans II's, and TRS drives. I've only seen a few Apollo boats, but have never seen the Maxim V. It's a 1977, 31'. If anybody has any info on the boat, or who manufactured it, etc, it would be greatly appreciated. Here is a link to some pics: http://groups.msn.com/SwindsPhotos/3...wtwin454s.msnw

It resembles an old Magnum or Donzi. How does that Volvo do pulling it?

Well, as long as you give it just a little extra gas before the big hills, no problem

That hull is the old 32' Formula. Built in Tampa by Stu Jackson, ex VP of Thunderbird/Formula. Good boat...

I've seen smaller boats (about 24') called Maxim. Are they from the same maker? I've always wondered about them.

I had one with the very first 200 Merc on it (learned how to do dead-stick landings on it). It was a Formula derivitive.

I thought the 24' Maxims were an upscale spinoff of the Bayliner line in the 90's, not affiliated with Apollo?
