Anyone know an engine builder that can rebuild my engine right??
 

I have had a company rebuild my left engine 3 times in the past year. I have boated 20 hours in 2 summers and I am sick of it. Every time the engine comes back it goes in and has some kind of problem. 1st it was the harmonic balancer, then I lost oil pressure, and now I either blew a hole in the piston or cracked a ring. I don't care about the BullSh*t warranty anymore, I just want to boat again. If anyone knows someone who can rebuild it right, please let me know so I can use my boat for once. I also need it done quickly, which is the kicker because I don't think people like JC Perf have time to do it right now. Please let me know so I don't have to be boatless for another summer.

I also don't want to ship it all over the country, so someone on the east coast would be best. I am in Connecticut.

Good Point, I'll give him a ring tomorrow. Byrdman, it was good meeting you at the NYC Run. Unfortunately we blew the left engine about a mile from the Tapanzee. Sucks man. And I can't go another summer boatless, two in a row is too much to handle.

JC's the man(although i've seen pics that show otherwise).
He does great work, and his customer service is there!!!

BTW, he rebuilt my engine over the summer and its running great.

Wow, JC Perf is the man as of now. Engine's coming out this weekend and will be there early tuesday. I'll let you all know how it goes, but judging by his OSO reputation I think all will go well.

I had a similiar experience, JC came thru for me as well. I had my motor back in 7 days (dynoed) as promissed.

BTW, I think we met at the Poker Run. We ate dinner together at the party Friday night, I was the guy with the Apache.

Yeah thats right!! How are them 900's running? I saw you cruise by when we were putting back on one engine, sounded good. It ended up being a ****ty day for us due to the engine problems (well over 3 hours back from the Tapanzee), but when I found out some of the fastest boats there had problems too I didn't feel so bad. By the way I checked out the Apache on the docks, looks awsome man. Luckily I will be able to boat again soon. Are you going to any of the other NYPB Runs this year?

The motors are running great, I've been out a few times after the poker run. I think I'm going to make a run to Long Island this weekend, maybe Paddy McGees on Saturday.

Hey, make sure you go thru the entire fuel system in the boat! You don't want to blow another motor because your current system can't keep up with the motor (lean condition). Just an FYI but I'm sure Jeff will check it out!
