You shouldn't be too far from, Appalachacola Bay, good Oysters (25-30 min). And about 45 min from Jax
Plenty of unreal FSU hotties in Tallie, make sure you forget to mention to the wife that you're taking a boat load of them out.
There are so many more girls at the school then guys, the girls are seriously horny and undersexed,
I'm sure you're young and single and can take full advantage of this info.

i lived in Tallahassee for all 4 years of my college career and didn't boat once while I was there.

Growing up in Sarasota, it was tough to even compare!

but on the other hand the girls in Sarasota couldn't even compare to the girls in Tallatrashy.

Tally has the hottest female population in the country.

I sailed 420s at the reservation when I was going to school there, and taught sailing in a sunfish.

Looks like I'm going to be stuck here most of the week. Working right across the street from FSU. I can't stand the Noles, but I gotta say, I've never seen so many hotties in my life. Sobe's got nothing on this place in that regard!

Re: Tallahassee Area

I'm here in Tally and Ochlocknee Bay (when it's not under water). We could use another Offshore boat around here. Yours should get the number up to three now! I have the red/white Magnum 27 Sport. You can't miss Kevin's TG out there. He's easy to spot. Great boating around here. Just be careful of the bottom. A GPS chart plotter is really helpful in this area. Once you go to Ochlocknee Sholes you won't want to leave. Nothing like it.

Hay Kevin, your buddy Steve Barnes tells me that you brought the TG up in our canal and actually turned it around. That's a trick to do in my 27 Magnum much less your 38 TG! Great job! My place is the one with the elevator lift. The Magnum should be back out on it next week. A little cleaup was in order after 7/10.

Cuda, give me a buzz next time you're in town. Believe it or not, we have a lot of Gator friends here!

Man talk me outta selling the Scarab fast ! I had almost lost hope to find some fellow OSO members in the area and have some gathering places to go. I did go to Oklocknee State park and put in this weekend .. Was running around there and the folks there were looking at me like I had three eyes :-) Well the boat is damn orange I guess. So if you hear any locals talking about a new boat in town it was me ....

Forrest, I have two of my men up there today, but I didn't make the trip.

As far as being a Gator fan, I'm rethinking that whole deal after seeing all the hotties at FSU right there near the jobsite. I'm telling you, I've never seen so many absolutely hot women in my whole life. South Beach ain't got chit on Copeland Avenue! :D

Hey Forest, Iwas over at steves place Monday after "Dennis" came thru. Did your place make it . Steve's got 5ft under water and we lost our cottage on Bald Point. Also I saw the magnum a few weeks ago out at the Shoals. Should have anchored up. Had a long ride back to St.Marks on one engine(the one without powersteering) Trying to get it back together for the Emerald Coast Poker Run!!!!!!!

PS: That Magnum looks Sweeet

Re: Tallahassee Area

Hey Cuda, you should have grown up around here. Had a older friend that started as a lineman for FSU the same time my sister went there, While I was graduating highschool. They got me in all the best party's. But I ended up marrying a diehard Gator fan that presently is over all the loan officers at the FSU credit Union ironic

ForrestC 07-26-2005 04:50 PM

Re: Tallahassee Area

Kevin, we were over there Monday as well, hosing out the place and adding to mounds of flood junk on the street. Sorry to hear about the cottage at Bald Point. I took the Magnum off of the boat lift, put it on the trailer, and then parked it in the car port, and SH@#$!, it damn near started to float off of the trailer during the flood! The plug was out so it wouldn't have gone far, but every thihs is OK. I just never figured on anywhere near that much water. Everyone thought maybe 6" in the street at most, and none in the houses. We had 26" of seawater and gunk in out place.

Luckly, we didn't have much in the house that we couldn't live without. It's totally dry now, and probably cleaner than it ever been. I just brought in another used frig, TV, and some other stuff and we're ready to keep on enjoying the summer. Some folks down there didn't do so well, like the folks across the street from Steve. They lost almost everything. Car, truck, camper, decent stuff in the house. You name it . . . gone.

Cuda, once I go married (to an FSU girl), I'm not allowed to go down there anymore . . . but sometimes you just got to go through campus, you' know, to get around traffic and stuff! :D

Re: Tallahassee Area

I saw the Magnum in the car port, next time I am at Steve's and you are down I will stop by. Maybe I will have the TG up and running next week, we can meet up at the shoals

Re: Tallahassee Area

Kevin, do have any numbers for 502SCS? I usually just point straight out from Ochlocknee Bay and look for the shallow water about six or so miles out. I can get some numbers later for you from my C-MAP PC planner. Essentially, Ochlocknee Sholes is located about eight miles South West of the last marker when leaving the St. Marks channel. Always know where you are out there. You can run aground two miles offshore in the Big Bend area.

I would really like to get the Magnum out there this weekend, and there is a possiblity that I will - especially if the weather is good, and the ramp at Mashes Sands is clear enough at high tide, but I still have some clean-up work to do at the house. Saturday may work out for a boat ride, but Sunday I know is work for us.

That's got it. Pretty much anywhere in the 29* 54.000 N / 84*12.000 area will put you right on top of it. You'll see the boats and it's a pretty big area.

Mashes Sand is the best bet. good ramp

ForrestC 07-29-2005 11:24 AM

Re: Tallahassee Area

The end of the canal where the Mashes Sands boat ramp is located has filled with sand from the Dennis and the opening to Ochlocknee Bay is now very narrow. It was narrow before Dennis, but now I don't think I can get my Magnum through there even at full high-tide. Low tide is totally out of the question for any stern drive boat. Go to Panacea or St Marks and put in.

I'm out this weekend and next, but hopefully the weekend after next we'll be back on the water. I'll be at Blue Crab Lane in Mashes Sands this weekend. We're there if you see an Excursion parked out front.

Kevin, conagrats on your pair of future engine builders!

Wow you have a full plate!
No problem. Open invite .. It would be great for me to have a local go out with me to show all of the uncharted obsticles. I may go out solo to the shoals on saterday morning to check it out see if it is 2 year old and wife safe ?? Does it break surface or just shallow ? If anyone else is going out let me know my schedule is flexable.
