Re: Chaparral Villian
A guy at my local marina has one. It looks like a decent boat. Not sure about your specific questions. I don't think you will be breaking any speed records if that is a concern.

Re: Chaparral Villian
I have a friend with one. He won't take it out in the rough stuff and I don't know the deadrise but Dave is right, it's not a speed demon or anything. Pretty nice boat with nice amenities. His runs 68 or so with fresh 454 Mags.

Very heavy boat, handles 2'-3' rough great in the local bay. I was in the Atlantic once with it, but nothing to 'test' anything rougher (not sure what exact deadrise measures). Mine did 62-64mph with Alphas and 454 mags. Never busted up an Alpha with this setup, the next years (89's) came with Bravos, better set-up. Never big holeshots comin up. Came with sink, wetbar, fridge, on-board fresh water, nicely equipped (exhaust ported out the sides which was cool) and good quality. I was pretty happy with it, just sold it to move up.
