I watched the factory guys test a 38 with 502's. The owner wasn't happy with the performance. To make a long story short, they put 1" spacers in and gained 3-4 mph. Judging from this the shorties may slow you down. This was after prop testing with no results. (I want to say they got 72-74 out of it after the spacer, but it was 2 summers ago and my memory has gone due to excessive beer abuse)

Hey thanks guys! I may even give Mike a call myself and see what light he can shed on the subject. I just dont want to sell a pair of shorties and not have it work out..
dyno, If you give me a CC number, I will get those built and you can sell them at Hardy Party if they dont work...
I wonder if the X dim is the same on 98-200/2001? Like you say, they seem to know at PQ and are putting them on at the highest X they can.
What about props? Anyone tried something other than the Bravo 1's??
Thanks for the info.. it is alot of money to experiment with.. even when it isnt my money..

I went back to stock B1's. I was thinking of trying out some P5's until my buddy blew up one of his drives running them. Probably coincidence, but they have to be harder on the drives with the extra blade bitting the water. Especially during reentry.Definitely give MARK Winia a call. He is the man in the know at PQ.
