During the summer my wife and I spend at least a week in South Shore at the Tahoe Keys. They have accomodations ranging from studio style condos to custom homes, all on the water in protected harbor/marinas. Depending on your needs and budget. You can view all the available properties on their website. Plenty of quality places to see and things to do in south shore, Reno style casinos and entertainment, Heavenly Valley tram, bike and hiking trails, clean air and beautiful lake.

Also try Sunnyside Resort on the nw part of the lake at 530 583 7200. 5 min to quiet northshore or 25 min to lights and glitz of gambling and shows.
I have attached a vendor list of stuff to do and call and a quick map.
give me your e-mail and I will send you the jpg files for easier reading.
Enjoy
