28 Pantera at LOTO Shooters Shootout?
#1
Is anyone with a 28' Pantera going to be attending the Shooters Shootout at Lake of the Ozarks next month? My wife and I are going to be there looking at boats. Gordo has graciously offered to give a ride and let us check out his 25' Active Thunder and we very much appreciate that.
I am starting to become interested in the 28 Panteras as well and would love to see one in person. Not looking for a free trip around the lake or anything, just a look at the quality of hull & rigging.
We are planning on buying something in the spring. If anyone can help out, please let me know.
Thanks everyone!!

With Gordo, keep your mouth shut and watch him drive. You could learn how to drive a boat just by watching him. Gordo will never be over or under trimmed. No matter what the speed or conditions he is always in the sweet spot. Honestly, though is boat has been around the block a few times and really isn't representative of the typical AT.
You'll like the Pantera down there too. I got to drive one a couple of years ago and was amazed by it's rough water capabilites. A fast boat it is not, but it just loves that rough water. Oh, you will get wet, so keep that in mind.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll take your advice and keep an eye on how he operates. I have about 6-8 hours behind the wheel of a 29' profile and that is all the big boat experience I have. MANY hours spent driving smaller boats - bass boats & runabouts 14'-20'. I also raced PWC for alot of years. I am going to have a big learning curve when it comes to a boat of this size. Any help I can get, I'll take.

I'll see if I can't get a hold of Griff and Cattitude and see what can be worked out. Yeah, Beaver isn't too terribly far from here. Well, there's something that just rolls of the tounge, huh? Thanks for the help guys!

I will be down for the Shootout and you are more than welcome to check out my boat and go for a ride if it works into our schedules. I probably won't be down till Saturday.
