Default Tomorrow morning I see what the damage is...

Tomorrow morning I pull the starboard engine apart on the little Skater. No I don't have a big one too, it's just small. Anyway, I will pull the intake and carb's off, pop the rod cap, and pull the piston and rod out. Hopefully, the damage will be minor and I will be able to just rebuild the carb's and replace the piston and rings and gaskets. It took me till this weekend because on top of hitting the curb at the gas station and blowing a tire and having the one cylinder go down, I got a HORRIBLE case of sun poisoning and was violently sick all night Saturday, all day Sunday and part of Monday. So it is back to the lake tonight and begin wrenching in the AM.

Hopefully, I can order the parts tomorrow, have them in during the week and have her back and running next weekend. That is provided there is no cylinder damage and no re-sleeving required. I guess everyone can be hopefull once in a while.

Have a good weekend everybody and BE SAFE!

I was in Echo bay last week. Now I know why I didn't see your Skater on the lake. Doug

Yup. You told me that if I ever wanted to sell it you would buy it. Just taking your temperature . Been thinking about sending it down the road to go bigger and this may be just the reason. Maybe a subliminal message.

Hey Shane if you have cylinder that came off on the cylinder walls you can use acid to take that off then nutralize it when you are done. It takes a while to do but I have done it many times with success.

Hope you get it back running with out to much effort.

Jon
