years ago I sold transportation and you'd hate to see what happens to things you'd consider unbreakable . A truck is treated as a hole the needs to filled to the top - stack anything on top of anything, if it all tips over en route its the next stops problem. LTL goes hub and spoke, no such thing as direct to delivery point. strap a drive to a skid and loose pieces of other freight will be put on the skid to make a flat surface - for what? To stack 2 skids on top!
