cruiser wake damage?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/INSUR...QQcmdZViewItem

The former owner of this boat states that he was operating at high speed when he encountered the wake of a large cruiser on Lake Winnipesaukee. As a result of the impact, the boat was severely damaged and sank in approximately 30 feet of water.

That's terrible.

Salvage the motors and drives, the rest is toast.

That is un-f'ing-believeable! That "cruiser" must have been more like a cruise ship.

WOW! That is the same boat I have except it has 454's instead of 502's. I was in 4-5 foot cruiser wakes this weekend (40mph) and didn't feel as if anything like that could happen.
Wonder how the driver/ passengers faired?
