other than lasting longer, what preformance gains would you see over bravos, without boxes?

Looks cool. Any plans for an extension box for the other drives? (ie. TRS)

Yes, we already offer several other extension box systems with up to 14" of set back.

I have XR's with boxes. Would I loose speed if I switched to Konrad's? I was told the transmissions would take from 5-7mph off the top speed.

The boat is a 386 Sonic, 650hp 575 SCi's

The transmissions are 1:1, the only loss from spinning the tranny would be from the viscous drag of the fluid and that's only a couple qts. No way could you lose 5-7 mph there.

I'm not sure about the speed issue. The 540 HP lower is extremely efficient hydrodynamically. The was much R&D put into the development of this lower.

You would be adding some weight over the existing Bravo package. A rough guess per side would be @ 130 lbs/side.

mtm,

Yes, we have been working on a shiftable drive. At this time we have a working prototype and it's proved to be extremely durable but it's a long way from production.
