Anything from Maui Jim (wraparounds obviously do better at keeping out wind), and not just for the great lenses and frames. Maui's customer service is exceptional ... as it should be when you pay $300 for a pair of shades.

I haven't found that to be the case on our freshwater lakes that are green or brown in color. I assume you are talking about sea water with much more clarity? I'll have to check that out when I'm on the Gulf this summer around Destin.

I use my Maui's for general boating. They are great glasses that really provide a lot of contrast.

However, when conditions are right (and I can run WOT continuously), I use a pair of polarized Barz Hi-Speed boat goggles. I bought them on another site as part of a membership purchase and they have turned out to be pretty good. The lenses are replaceable and they have two styles of interchangeable neoprene gaskets (between your face and the goggles) to control wind and moisture. Although you could argue that the optics aren't as good as the Maui's, there is a hugh advantage with the adjustability aspect of these...

I have 2 pair of Maui Jim's, 1 Costa Del Mar, 1- Ray Ban, 1- Serengetti and they all are good at what they do.

The big thing about boat sunglasses is they should cover your eyes completly to keep sun and wind out and be polarized and $19.99 walmart specials will do just that.

If you're going to put prescription lenses in them, then you're only looking for a style of frame.
Any Rx-able frame you like, and then choose what you want for lenses.
If you want a "wrap", we deal a lot with SPY, Rudy Project, Marchon, Harley-Davidson...
But, the Co. I work for just makes the lenses.
