Who will be at Smithmountain lake for the holiday weekend.Jen and I will be there from thurs to mon. :drink:

Tom and I are going down for Labor Day weekend. We can't decide if we should take Friday or Tuesday off of work. When is everyone else headed down? Should be a good time, I believe The Worx are playing at Mango's that weekend.

If you remember last year was quite a showing...30 some odd boats showed at the Bridge for a little fun run... Spread the word... maybe others will be around. I know a group was up from lake Norman last year. Not sure of their plans yet. Anyways, we'll be around. That's still 4 boats...thanks for rubbing it in mark!! ;) |

Bring up some of your bros ...bro! For those considering... There's a ton of deals on line for places to rent... pretty inexpensive if you get a few folks to go in. We rented last year for $750 for the 3 day weekend and we split it by 6. Cheap Cheap!! |

i was thinking 10:00am meet at the bridge then ride over near bannana joe's then to the damn then to portside for lunch then go find a anchor spot like the island or the s turns, then hit mango's that nite and then everybody pass out in their boats on the dock's :D:

The S-turns suck. Too unpredictable...I say either Boons Bay near the cliffs or the island. Unless somebody has a better place. There could be a pretty good number of boats and the island doesn't give us too much dock space. but we could always use the back side (rich is good at this!!) Butt... (lol) what the hell do I know...I'm boatless. (Maybe...hehe) |

if we wait till 11:00 then the bridge might fill up(no dock space) the island can hold alot of boats we will just use anchors or maybe we will ust go up in bull run where where we will have the whole cove to ourselves so we can handout a few beads:eek:

It's suppose to be girls weekend but I'm too much of a work horse when I'm up there. Ya know they love that type of thing...
