Working on paint designs, trying to soften it up a bit, more blue/silvers, not particular liking the yellow side, give me your input, thanks alot Jeff

Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
Jeff, Looks great!!!! I personally like lots of colors, just make sure you keep light colors where you need to walk (keep the feet cool)....and dark colors show water spots.
Looks great the way it is!! :drink: |
Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
Jeff~ I agree w/ LTT, it is cool but it's a bit "busy", there's a lot going on in that paint job. You can have it look just as cool with that design, but maybe tone down the variety of colors as well as the intensity? Also consider pulling out some of the "filler" designs within the paint? Or maybe ghost them in, giving it a bit more subtle depth as opposed to the in-your-face look? Just my .02 :)

Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
Even though the paint scheme on #1 seem to be the trend now, it is still very sharp on that boat. But I am partial to the yellows. You really can't go wrong with #3 either. All are great designs and colors. Good luck, tough choice.

Sam i think it is all the same paint job, its just different on both sides..... i like that look, gives you a different paint coming and going... i say tone down the yellow somehow as well, maybe fade it into something else... |
Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
Get rid of the dark blue and purple hues in the rear area and incorporate the other colors already used back there.

Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
the dark rear swoops stripes make the boat look smaller. just 02cent

Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
Nice looking paint. It does look a little on the busy side. Also, maybe not so dark at the back end. Nonetheless, it looks good.
|
Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
I think it looks good just the way it is, though personally, I think all of these wild paint jobs are getting a little old. When one boat has a gazillion colors on it, it is unique; when 50 boats have the same gazillion colors on them, they all tend to blend together.
Give me some of that old school classic look - dark hullsides and a solid white deck on a flat-deck Cig! :D |
Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
Nice colors and very resaleable, which is important. It could be tweaked a little depending upon your personal preference, but is very nice the way it is. And,dont forget, you can never have too much paint!

Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
get rid of nor tech umpteen times on the side
|
Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
If you wanna add more silver, you could continue it where the dark blue and black colors are.
|
Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
This is got to be one of the hardest things to pick on a boat. I wish I had the problem. The only thing I can say is make sure the a$$ end looks good, because with that set up most people will only see that view. :drink:

Guys I really apprieciate the info, I agree with some of you, I am trying to tone it down, maybe I need to go back to some of the orig renderings, and work from there, I like the design, want more blues, softer red/orange/yeloow fades. GIVE ME SOME FEEDBACK, THANKS JEFF

Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
The colors look good, the other side is reverse, blue/green, the design is simple and OK if you are like over that 45 age group. :evilb: :D :D Kinda of an old mans boat..:D :drink:
|
Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
You could paint that boat with a brush and it would still be bad ass....
I like the blue/silver/black concept............................... ok... maybe a tad bit of purple :D |

Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
I like the lines of the Nortech, and like bright colors similiar to your Skater Dank. Im just trying to tone it down a bit and get more fades for resale, just in case I decide like I always say Im going to keep this boat. I caught alot of sh!t with my last 43, some thought it was "hey look at me kinda of a paint job" but I loved it, and every person who saw it liked it with the exception of Open 72, but he cant help it :evilb: :D

Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
Second group, third pic, #1 . . . .
Question: When you buy a Nor-Tech, is there something in the contract that states that you MUST include "Nor-Tech" in the graphics ? ? ? . . . I don't think I've ever seen one without it . . . honestly. |

how many cigs do you see that don't say cigarette? |
Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
I dont like it either, the only place will be on the deck, not on the sides, not on the sunpad, no 4300 Super V look at me on the sides either. less clutter the better, more fades, highlights and outlines.
|
Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
Keep the darker colors to the sides...
They are a biotch to walk on in the sun, also adhesives tend to release under them. |
Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
how is silver to walk on vs blue or red...my last 430 was a copper/orange with silver accents, wasnt too too bad.
|
Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
Second group, 1st pic, #1 . . .
Looks like a Nor-Tech from a distance, even without the "logo" . . . I like that one probably second-best. Maybe too dark to walk on ? ? . . I wouldn't know. I always wear deck shoes. |

Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
I like the purple and red in post #20. Makes me wonder how that would look with silvers and red.
I already decided to go with red and silver, with charcoal and black accents. I really liked the colors on the 388 slingshot and the Nortech 3600 cat at Miami. |

Second group #3 looks sweet!

Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
One more thing, I'll take it, whatever color you paint it! :drink:

Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
wow, busy is all i can say. when did white go out of style? i think it should be white with accent colors not every color in the rainbow and then some.

- paint a BIG PICTURE of a BEAUTIFUL NAKED woman down the side and call the boat - Nauti Mistress  :drink: |
Re: looking for comments on paint design/4300 Nortech
I renumbered that group post #19, is that what you were talking about, thanks Jeff
Jon, im trying to stay away from silvers, red and dark grey, Sweers has a 4300 for sale on his web site, that I just dont care for that particular paint scheme and colors, thats just me though. Thanks Dank, your boat looks awesome. |

Jeff~
This is currently one of my fav paint jobs, I like some white in the boat and these colors compliment each other as well as the lines of the boat. (no offense to the owner) but I'm not too big on the name as it is on the side, but the rest looks great! |
