Re: at what price do you stop boating
Since I am just going to be getting back on the water this weekend I plan to just run a little slower and run a little less. Instead of going to the other end of the lake and back a couple times, I will go to the other end of the lake, have a bite to eat, then back home. It would have to cost me a LOT more then it does now to get me to out right stop. Gas is STILL the cheapest part of boating for the most part......

I never said "I" stopped running like hell.

At the current rate of gasoline inflation (70 cents since Jan) which is roughly 1.30 per year... next season will be $4.30 and the following will be $5.60
At the CURRENT rate of inflation (most folks expect a faster rise) gas will be about $7.00 per gallon the summer of 2008.
That would be an extra 5k per season within 3 years for a three year total of about 10k extra.

I once said at $3.00 a gallon , I'll put my boat on the front lawn and plant flowers in it
It's getting close to that here
