Default Audio/Video Help Question

Looking at updating my 1987 Scarab audio (radio, tape, and GE.....simply subpar) with a CD reciever/Changer with Sirius capability.

Wonder what are the better brands out there to use. I know home audio, but next to nothing about marine audio. Must be a marine type stereo as the only protection from the rain is my glovebox.

P.S. my speakers are MB Quart replacements all the way around. Probably going to add an amp at some point but not right off the bat.

Also is there any manufacturer that makes 7" 'screens' from DVD/Movie use that are waterproof. Thinking of installing an indash screen later on.

Too bad it needs to be "marinized."

They generally sound like poo.

I chucked a "marinized" Clarion in favor of a regular Alpine.

I had a Clarion marine cd player in my last boat and you could spray it with a pressure washer and it wouldn't hurt it. It was Sirrus ready and tv ready.
