I am strongly considering a 24 / 25 ft Baja. What are the pros and cons between the H2X and the Outlaw. I know that the dead rise is different, but don't know the significance of that.
Thanks,
Dave

I would go for the Outlaw. It will be much better in rough water due to the deadrise and the weight. The Outlaw has a deeper cockpit, better cabin, and looks better (opinion). The H2x has one of those cabin entrances that you have to crawl in.

Outlaw....no question
The dead rise is the angle of the V. The higher the number the better the boat will cut through the water. Im guessing but I think the Outlaw has a 24* hull and the H2X is a 22*. The H2X has a flater hull which will make it slap the top of the water where the Outlaw will cut into it.
Let the group know where and what kind of boating you want to do and you'll get some better feedback.
Good luck and welcome to the board

The outlaw will definately have a smoother ride in the rough stuff and feel more stable. The H2X is a fast boat, but will feel squirrely at top end and will punish you in rough water. Its all in what you want and where you are going to boat.

There are other boats to consider. Namely, anything from Long Island. Activator, Kryptonite, Progression or Superboat.
If you want to stick to something built in Ohio, go with a Checkmate 251, 253 or 259.
