That pic is his current boat, which is a link in his signature. Its under the line which ends the 'posted' info you forum geniuses.
But yes, BL, you may be asked remove your avatar. There has been some complaints on this site due to some racy avatars, unfortunately.
You can buy a 37AVH hull from Cheif or Active Thunder. This has been discussed in another thread. Pat Haughey personally owns the molds and the boats are built under two different names with different touches, kinda like a Chevy compared to a GMC.
I just had a long talk with yzbert on this same AT subject yesterday. Quality of workmanship is very sharp. There is always room for improvement. I would call the new Dragon a perfect 10 in QW, and the Active Thunder @ a 9.
My boat is a 2003 built at the very end of 2002. It was in the 2003 Miami Boat Show on display. I bought it in May of 2004 from the original owner. Customer service... well... its tough to get Pat on the phone, but he always does come through when I need him. Being a West Coast boater with the only real presence of AT being in FL at the factory, and the only AT dealer being in MD, you are going to have to set up a dealer/service relationship with Pat personally for warranty work. Other than that though, there is not much to go wrong with the boat, other than your power combo, which is probably going to be Mercury which any dealer can work on. The side/by/side setup of the front bolsters and side cabin entry is awesome. It really makes for a unique layout, increases the head size and headroom, and makes it much easier to speak to your front passenger/navigator at speed. I won't own another boat that is not side/by/side. The 37AVH can be built either way, though, with split front bolsters. The new 37 Active Thunder available right now in stock has split front bolsters and 525s. The new 37 Cheif available right now in stock in New York I believe has side/by/side bolsters and 525s. Expect mid-high 80s with 525s. I can't complain about resale. I got a great deal on mine. It appraised for a lot more than what I paid, and when they go up for sale, the 37s seem to go in moderate time. I had mine 'available' for a while, and received lots of calls without even placing a formal classified ad.
