Unhappy Thoughts for my friend, please

You all are quite aware of my personal shenanigans, but I do have a serious side as well. The guy standing up in the pic below is Martin Kaas, a close friend and rope guy on a few runs with me. A few weeks ago Martin was involved in an offroad accident and took a tumble out the back of a truck. The other guy in the pic with us wouldnt give up on him and probably saved his life. Martin suffered a basal skull fracture as he landed square on his head and bruised his brain stem, hower the fracture wound up being a plus as it has allowed his brain to swell and help make things easier( if possible). He also suffered a small stroke and has some limited paralasis in his left side. He was just moved To Kernan hospital in Balt. which is doing great things with rehabing sufferers of head trauma. This was Martins first poker run and he was amazed at the hardware and the overall generosity of the people and their kind spirit and willingness to help and have fun.To add to his amount of fun he won the second place poker hand. He has mentioned on many times how one day he will have a boat of his own. At 21 he has a long road ahead of him, but it looks better everyday. Take a minute every now and then when things are tough on yourself and think about those with a tougher row to hoe.
If anyone would like to send a card for moral support, it can be sent to the address in my signature just mark it for "Martin"..thanks gang...Rob
