32' Sunsation vs 32'/33' Active Thunder
Looking to buy a new larger boat, and a friend of mine is doing the same. He is trying to steer me to a 32' Sunsation and I am liking what I am hearing from various people and Pat at Active Thunder.
The new 33' AT, is a scaled down model of their 37' and of course is not out just yet, but I am sure people can still offer their opinions on the AT 32' and or 37' in comparison to the Sunsation.

I may be a little biased but I don't think there is any comparison. The Sunsation is a nice boat but the A.T. is so much bigger with a great rough water ride. I am really excited about the new 33. The 33 will be a rocket ship with a pair of 525s.

The 32 AT is significantly bigger in all respects, with a much deeper cockpit, taller cabin, enclosed head, etc. It is 32' to the transom, the 32 Sun includes the platform. Really two different boats, both are well built and have very dedicated owner groups. Personally, I think the 32 Sun is a looker, very sleek and streamlined. Can't go wrong with either one, but in rougher water I'd say the edge goes to the AT - with the extra size comes extra weight to help smash that water down.

They are obviously two different boats....the 32' AT has a heavier hull, higher profile/deeper cockpit design, and designed for rougher seas vs the 32' Sunsation which is lighter, and has a much lower profile. I feel very secure in the AT and being that I am a 32' AT owner I obviously like the AT, but those Sunsations can scoot though!!!
