The Keys are evacuating in preperation for tropical storm Rita.
I guess since people are evacuating the storm must be close to hurricane strength. There is a high pressure area that keeping it south of everyone else.
The weather was excellent in Central Florida yesterday. Skies were clear, the haze that hung around most of last week was blown away by the east coast sea breezes. Temp was in the low 90's and the rest of the week is upper 80's to low 90's with little chance for rain.

"Rita" is expected to gain Hurricane strength later today and blow through the keys and extreme southwest Florida. Then, supposedly, on it's way to Mexico or extreme south Texas. The other two storms out there the weather idiots don't seem to concerned about.
