I talked to the owner about a year ago when he got the boat back from Bob S. at Apache. HE tried to sell it to me then for about $450,00.00 oh well. Who ever buys it will own a true piece of offshorer racing history.

what a rush. did you see the race footage on that site? Todays raceboats don't launch and land like these old vee's, maybe its the 5000 extra lbs. Whew!

Those old Apache's really set the standard back in the day. I keep a framed picture of the 47 foot "Little Caesar's Pizza" (owned by Eric Markey?) on the wall next to my PC. The boat is running hard and at least 3' out of the water. Too Cool!
