Thumbs down New Manatee Zone in Daytona ?

WESH TV has had a snippette on all night about an extreme manatee/no wake zone zone on the Halifax River but I can't find any reference to it anywhere.

Sounded like it went from Daytona to New Smyrna including the ICW.

Anyone else see it? Wonder why so little publicity? Course we all know the answer...

I can't find details anywhere but it's been on WESH multiple times. Even Daytona papers and the venerable STM don't mention it.

What story said was No Wake on entire Halifax Rivier and they showed new signs up everywhere.

I was out this weekend with BruceK and it was the same as always. No Wake under the Dunlawton bridge then running wide open to Inlet Harbor. If they actually shut it down to no wake it will be miserable.... I try to keep my wake to a minimum!!!!

Maybe these map links show what the "news" people are talking about. They made it sound like new news--
