Key West Sunset Cruise-Race Week
 

Just curious if anyone has done or is interested in doing one of the Sunset Cruises that is popular in KW. I like the tall ships. We will be down there early, Wed night would be good, Thursday is Outlaw Cowgirls wedding and Friday is the OSO bash. Just a thought................

My wife and I did one a couple of years ago and enjoyed it very much. We would definitely do it again.

Last year we were on the Sebago right in turn one for the whole day and then got a sunset cruise with the deal too. We usually go out for the Saturday race, great time, includes lots of food and beer and wine. Wait, I mean it sucks, don't go...more for me.

I just spoke to a guy that does the bookings for Sebago he said that we can get a deal of $32.00 for a 2 hour sunset cruise. The price goes down if there are more than 20 people. The boat holds about 60 people and has music,the price includes unlimited beer, wine and champange. Oh and the good news it is a cat :D


catamaran sail boat that is :D He is finding out how much the package deal would be for the Saturday race day, for that he says you are out about 6 hours.

Went out on one last year, very nice in the Harbor, out past the rocks must of been eight footer's, everybody was very wet and cold not to mention camera equipment ruined.

Hello Donna I am up for it however Wednesday is not going to work, Friday might be an idea no races that day and more OSO members would be in town by then. There will be alot of members doing ths FPC poker run on Wed, Thur and Fri

Drew, Friday night is the OSO party and the FPC pub crawl, they usually make the OSO party one of their stops so that would not be a good night. Thursday Outlawcowgirl and Banker Ron are getting married at sunset and a lot of us will be going to that (everyone is welcome) and I believe Sat is the big FPC party, so I don't think there is another good night, sorry :( I know not everyone will be there yet. Did they change the poker run to Wed. this year, I always thought it was Tuesday. Sunday is a possibility last year it was sort of a quite night, the racers had their dinner but I believe that was a private affair.

Tom I got your PM, I guess I will start a list and we will just see what happens, I think there is at least 15 or so that want to go

We usually go down Wed first thing and sign up for the Sat trip. Like it was said before, you are out for the hole day, which is fine. They have heads and cover to get out of the sun. We have a group of six if OSO sets anything up for Saturday. If not, I will be there first thing Wed to sign up. I think it was $60 per person last year and that included, breakfast and lunch and all the beer and wine you can drink. You can bring what you want too. The booth is right next to Schooner's Warf. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I talked to the mgr of the sebago and she is putting together the info on the race day turn boat festivities. OSO will have first crack at signing up, and we will be able to book our reservations on line. I will start a new thread when she gets me the info.
