We start going to snowmobile grass drags instead of the beach.

This week it is supposed to be sunny and 70 so don't put it away yet, last week I was swimming in lake MI, this weekend we went rideing with 200 dirt bikes and FROZE. I had a jacket, a chest protector, two sweatshirts, thick gloves and a head cover under the helmet, it was still cold, at night it was 36. I say there are at least 3 more days and every day over 70 I am out there. It is sad though, sorry to hear the run was poor GL, we had that rain a few days ago, it was nasty and cold. I know how frustrating it can be, my whole life and every weekend revolves around weather, everything i do is outside and I have to wonder all the time what will happen next, it is worse than being a farmer.

Hey Marc, wish we would have made it by your house this summer. Summer is just too short in Michigan. Are you going to the Pirates Ball at Mark Smiths???? KS

Signs that summer is over........

1) You went to the mall for the first time in who knows how many months?

2) You have a perch fest with all your boating friends but you're all wearing coats, turtlenecks and boots so your feet stay warm.

3) You went to the first pig roast of the season.

4) You're eating cabbage rolls and watching football instead of basking in the sun with all your friends.

5) You know you're pulling the boat this weekend to store for the winter

6) The sun hasn't come out in 4 days. Typcial Cleveland crap weather for the next 7 months

Re: Signs Summer Is Over:

you're insulating your pole barn
spending $2700 to save $300 a year in heating bills.... just for principal....

it's almost like buying a diesel to pull a zodiac.

Rob, you are pushing it young man. I get 15 mpg towing that and it gets 10mpg so in the end I am MAKING money towing stuff around. I know it is overkill but when I can step out my door and walk on top of a minivan it makes it all worth it. That and some day I will tow heavy again, it would most likely be a Travel Trailer than a boat, I saw some cool toy haulers this weekend, they are really getting popular and I am tired of riding in the dirt all day and not being able to shower, in the summer it is ok but last weekend it was 34 in the morning. I hope you get your ride, if not I would just steal a boat, run it for 1/2 an hour and give it back, if your conscience bothers you you could leave some gas money.
