Thanks again to Tank and Scope, it was a great day boating. But I'm still trying to figure out why all but my Nor-tech cat and one V bottom turned around because of a little rough water. Nice pics Bajafresh.

Hugh and I were running side by side for a long while but trust me when I say it was not anywhere close to wide open. we couldn't keep the boats in the water. You can't see from any of the pics but the swells were average 6 footers with the occasional 8' in the mix and on top of that there was white caps and confused water.
A few of us stopped half way up to S.B. and decide to go back to Ventura and have lunch there instead of beat the crap out of our boats. I had Chet Huffman with me (the owner of the 43' Nortech "Way Nutz") and as he put it when asked how he felt about continuing, "it just depends on how much you want to beat the sh!t out of your stuff." This was after he was thrown to the floor coming off the back side of a swell and dropping into a hole that felt like it was the bottomless pit!!
Trust me Steve, I'll catch up with Hugh when the time is right and have a little drag for that dinner (and drinks) you're offering! I'm game....
It was really nice meeting Hugh. You sold the boat to a great guy who is keeping on the tradition of taking good care of it!!

I must admit that i was in awe when i looked over and saw Tim's 42' Tiger in the air, props and all and it just kept flying, but there was no way we were going to get pictures since no one was about to let go of the grab handles.

Yo guys! I wish we could have dragged behind the seawall. I was running about 3500 RPM equaling 50 MPH into the head swells. I kicked her up to 54 MPH when we passed Tank. Way too fast for the ocean conditions and my passengers. Unbeknown to them was the rivalry. I was not going to back down after trailering for 120 miles to get there. Thankfully, most backed down first before my boat was beat to death.
Damage report to Pinkie:
8 missing screws popped from the rubrail.
Upper dash for gauges is loose again.
Toilet seat is off again.
Steering wheel folded over like a taco from a 2-story drop in to a hole.
Cabin door is loose.
1 seasick passenger and sore muscles for the rest of the crew.
I will have some tightening of all screws to do and check the motor mounts as the pounding was heavy. Mechanically she is sound and ready to go another round. A good time was had by all. I saw many a smiling face given the bleak conditions. Congratulations on a fabulous run Tank. And Happy Belated Birthday - Libra Bro.
