Talking Otis311 lives

This morning I heard on the news that a man in upstate NY drowned in the river due to all the flooding. The man's name is Robert Scanlon, a lot of you know that is Otis311's real name Well I called Bob thankfully he is alive and well. He said a bunch of people have called him also. The weird thing is it was only about 5 miles from his house, he did not know the guy nor were they related.

He is getting ready for a memorial for fallen firefighters and told me to let you guys know he alive and well.

Imagine reading the morning paper and seeing your own name in the obituaries.

You Guys wouldnt believe the calls I have gotten on this one. I walked into the firehouse yesterday morning to be told that it was just on the news that I had drowned trying to save his 6 year old boy. The other Robert Scanlon is/was 39 and Im 41 and I have a 7year old boy. People were calling work in tears saying they cant believe it, that I was gone. I would get on the phone after a minute or so and let them know it wasnt me. After the initial shock they would curse me out for playing along with it. This is actually the second time this has happened to me, when I had my serious boat accident in 1987 all the news stations were reporting me dead as I lay in the hospital wondering why no one has come to see me and make sure I was ok. Let me tell you... that was shear hell on my parents for a few hours
