Re: nor - tech ouch!
Holy Crap!!! Why would you leave that in the water? I'm just going on an assumption that it was in the water.......WHY!!!!
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
That is a shame! I wonder why it wasn't on it's trailer???
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
W O W !!! That's just plain sickening.
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!

"The motors were stabilized, but not run." read - wouldn't run |
Re: nor - tech ouch!
Looks like one we didn't "hear about". Who would really want it now??
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!

Re: nor - tech ouch!
i was told it sold for 125k
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
Just my .02, looks to me if you have a named hurricane coming, and say you don't want your boat anymore for whatever reason, you put it in the water and call your insurance company the next day.........
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
glad to see that they stopped unauthorized pictures of my boat to sell this one!!!!
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
Snap the bullet AND skeg right off the #6 drive!

To whom it may concern: This boat should not be repaired! We were hoping to get it back and scrap the hull. Unfortunately it had to be sold at auction. The parts are definately worth something but the hull is worthless.

Re: nor - tech ouch!
What a shame - and a class act by Nor-tech.
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
Oh my.....what a sad, sad shame. :( :(
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
Looks like someone forgot to put out the fenders :D
T/525 EFI's w/# 5 Speedy drives. Try 500efi with #6 drives.....looks like Vortech supercharged tho. Looks like it may have been a brand new boat??? Who pays big bux for a NorTech, then goes with all grey paintjob? Whatever happened, its a shame to see that happen to such a nice boat. I think the insurance theory holds some weight for sure.... |

.... drug runners? |
Re: nor - tech ouch!
This is a Katrina Miami victim. A minor Cat 1 was predicted. I saw the video of 8' waves crashing into his seawall coming across Biscayne Bay. Sad to see the waves just ripping the lift to pieces and taking the boat with it.

Re: nor - tech ouch!
Breaks my heart to see that.....
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
Yuk!
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
That sux
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
i don't see 125K woth of parts.......it doesn't take long for saltwater to set in......the #6's got banged up as well.
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
thats just plain depressing....such a shame for that to happen to such a beautiful boat
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
Everyone should keep eyes out for where that boat goes so no one gets ripped off by someone after it's patched up.
As far as my opinion i would say she could be patched up and used as a pleasure rig but I dont think I would do any sort of insano speed in it after that battering, the fact she didn't break in half is a testament to Nor Tech quality. |
Re: nor - tech ouch!
Looks like a perfect tool to be used for bow thruster installation practice.
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!

Re: nor - tech ouch!
Don't seem like $125K worth of parts left in that whole package. :(

Re: nor - tech ouch!
Soon as i saw that Bimini i remembered a previous post about the owner not really caring about his boat. Found it.....................

Re: nor - tech ouch!
That mas my favorite Nortech... the grey/silver with racing stripes gives it a sort of classic look.... There are other pictures of that boat around here when it was in a little better shape..
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
I believe the owner of that boat was one of the previous owners of my AMT
Sad to see such a nice boat in that condition. |
Re: nor - tech ouch!
anyone know where what how?
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
Was this boat on a lift in Biscayne bay??
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
Yikes!!
|
Re: nor - tech ouch!
Well,,, lets see,,, 125K gets you a 2005 Title gets some one a 600-700 loan at the credit union,,, If he's really smooth he can take a pic of another one and get insurance on it :( then after that he leaves his Rolex , Golf Clubs and wifes Jewelry on this same boat that is now going to cost all of us a lot higher insurance in the future!!
