a guy at my brothers work says he can get 2 speedmaster volvo outdrives for $3000.00 with props. He says it off of a 90's mirage..but i thought they were only made in the 70's? would this be worth looking at if they are really speedmasters?

post some pics if you can. if it is a Volvo its known as an "E" drive. they are very rare and were made in the seventies i believe.

Depends if you have a use for them, yes, early 70's. Very fast, but can't take very much power.

would be a great addition on a restoration of an old sport Mag or Donzi

finally met up with the guy today..knew it was to good to be true..was a pair of 280's with nosecones.The guy was very appologetic and said person he bought the boat off of said they were speedmasters..very rare..etc etc..He bought the boat with no power.going to convert to outboards. Sorry for getting anybodys hopes up. Next time ill keep my mouth shut until i actually see them.I even asked the guy on the phone"the bullet is really small in diameter.like 2.5 inches..and pointy right? " and he said yes.
