OK, here it is so no rumors get started!!

I've always said that the ultimate boat for me would be a Top Gun with #6 drives. When this boat became available to me, I jumped at it because, well...it's an awesome boat and there just aren't too many TG's with #6 drives. Since before I bought the boat, my plan has been to sell the engines and build some big CI naturals that would better fit the style of boating that Nancy and I enjoy. I'm just not in a stage of my life where I really care about how fast I (or anyone else for that matter) can run. We boat mostly on the Potomac River and 95% of the time we are cruising at 3500-4000 rpm's. I can honestly say that I didn't think that I would have such a hard time selling the engines that are currently in there. They cost well over 100K to build, have less than 20 hours on them and I can't seem to get anyone to give me 50K for them.
With our youngest boy entering college next year and his brother already there, the thought of having the boat powered the way it is would not fit into our budget plans for the upcoming years. :D Because of that, the boat is for sale at a price that I would sell it for if someone really wanted it in it's current form. If it (or my engines) don't sell, I'll keep it and run it. I just like to go boating more than I'll be able to.

jmackin, craigs fear is replacing all the valvetrain stuff every 200 hours or less because of the big cheif heads, thats also why he cant sell the stuff for good money. i'd deal with the maint and the big top end speed for a non stepped hull anyday. those trannies and drives at the chit, the boat look sweet too, not over done and tacky like a lot of the new boats, i bet theres a few mph more in it as well.
