Who is "Mercury", and what do they make? I can't find their name anywhere on MY boat.....

If it comes in "Blue"

Why put a transmission in an extension box? It's already available and a lot of boats don't need, benefit or handle well with them.

Sounds like a swing and a miss to me. If I wanted that solution I would have bought a Konrad drive already.

Most boats will not accommodate the added length with the trans in the engine box.
