Corey,

My .02 - having driven from Dallas to Mobile, AL myself and now living on the Miss Coast. Take I-20 to Jackson. In Jackson take Hwy 49 south (yes this is a bad road but I'm not gonna have you on it to long and trust me this is the fastest way from Jackson to I-10) Stay on 49 until you reach Hattiesburg. In Hattiesburg exit 49 onto hwy 98 east towards a town Called Lucedale. 98 is a pretty good road. After you've been on 98 a while you will see signs for "Miss Coast" and "Beaches." These will have you exit onto Hwy 63 south (a really nice road). Stay on 63 till I-10. Once your on 10 your about 5 minutes from the Miss/Ala state line and clear sailing from there. I know it sounds like a screwy back roads route, but it's easy and will be fastest - especially given the problems on 10 and 12 since Katrina.

Even if I-10 was not damaged you would want to take I-12 from Baton Rouge to where it ends in Slidell to by-pass New Orleans. Went from Baton Rouge to Orange beach AL this way two weeks ago with no problems.

Couldn't ever find a Tiger that I wanted. The 42' Cig market seems to have frozen over the last 6months or so, so I ended up in something TOTALLY different. Its a 38ZX Daytona with 600hp innovations. About an 82-85 mph boat with gen, AC, and a HUGE cabin. Wife loves it, so next boat will be a Tiger. I'm hoping to find the endangered species boat when it pops up for sale someday.
