I'm glad I upgraded with that. It made it a new boat for me and I liked doing the project. Remember, it's not just the motor, but you have to have additional gauges too. Fuel pumps, sea strainers....blah blah blah.
In business, I design various things, so I designed the new dash plates and asked our sheet metal place to make new ones and repaint/silkscreen them all. Looks nice (to me). I still don't know the performance increase since I didn't replace the speedo (80MPH) and it pegs that.
It had XZ drives, which are good drives, just not strong enough. Now I have one XZ and one XR. The XR uses more power to turn and therefore has less RPM.....just waiting for the XZ to blow. I moved from Bravo1 28 labbed to 32 stock....but now I'm trying 30 stock. Seems about right.

Nort nice looking install.
I would recommend the Whipples . He will have them ready soon. I would say it would make around 750 on a stock500efi.. They have a much better and cleaner package. The pro charger works also but the innercooler you have to mount some were they recommend the stringers The Whipple has a better innercooler at 9+ pds boost the air inlet temp was only 10 degrees higher in the intake over abinant.this was on a steady state pull!!!
Now the Whipple comes on hard early in the RPM. were the Procharge comes in later , The Procharger would be easer on drive ,if ya stab it say from idle or like mine has about 5-6 psi at 3000rpm.800plus TQ I usually wait to after peek TQ at about 4500 before I stab it.
Now the Pro charger is defiantly cheaper.
Ill post some picks when I get to the house
