I have never sold anything on ebay, in registering they are asking for my Social # and or checking acount #. Is this correct????? I have never given out this kind of info on line and always heard it was bad to give out.

Rest assured they are asking you this just the same as if you were applying for a loan or something to protect FELLOW e-bay traders from scam artist who get a credit card number then post bogus ads ripping people off.
