This is a monumental difference between 105 and 120! Anybody that has driven at both of those speeds can verify this is like night and day.

In addtion, the article says the 525 was doing 5,800rpms. Take a look at the 525 specs posted by Mercury high Performace Marine... and then me how the 525 on the Eliminator was doing 5,800rpms at 525HP!!!! Sneaky little stinkers!

DCB advertises on the mags back page and is one of Powerboat's biggest advertisers. This boat should be running at least 170mph. My friend has a 34' DCB which is supposed to run in the mid 150s. My Spectre runs 125mph any day of the week and he is yet to beat me.

im suprised you all dont realize thier using speedwax on everyone of these boats b4 they test em. also if your add four onces of speed wax to the oil on your 525's you WILL pick up 600 to 800 rpms, lil duece rules

5200rpm, 1.35:1 gears, 36p props, 11% slip = 120.12mph according to my prop workshop program. 5400 at 12% slip is 120 as well.

A 30 with 750's should be way faster than 120. My friends 30 with 575sc's runs 115 gps.
