Default Arneson stress question

I think of the weirdest crap sometimes. IF, you have a bravo setup and you patch it to go with an ASD setup (no I'm not doing it ) it's no big deal is it? Because the ASD's are a straight shot and don't exert the stress on a transom a bravo setup does right? I have a friend who is always blowing bravos on his 36 Spectre, would this be a good conversion for him?

are you worried about the transom or the drive? the arneson would be fine and so would the transom ( i am not sure for the bravo conversion if you have to patch anything or not, the dropbox probably would cover everything)

i think it would be a great conversion.... the new owner of my old boat is putting them on the 30..

they have an Arneson conversion for a bravo that you do not have to patch anything, just remove the bravo equipment and install the Arneson stuff. Pretty straight forward and no glass work.

I think he's talking about glassing over the bravo hole and starting from scratch....It would be no problme as long as the guy doing the glass work knows what they are doing!!!

But to save you some down time, just go with the bravo conversion that ASD makes and save some time!

BEcause of the addition of the transmission you would spend the same if not more money to plug the transom and then move and realign the engine(s) than to just buy the kit with the box that the trans fits into. No moving of the engine required. Adds hydraulic steering too.

The thrust from your propeller will be transmitted to the transom the same as any other outdrive does. (Some other surface drives are thrusting against the transmission itself)

The footprint of our box covers a standard Bravo cutout so this eliminates the need to re-glass the transom.

There are no more nor no less stress placed upon the transom with this kit.

Limits? They can handle 750 hp with no problems. This is why I warranty them for a year at this level and have had no failures.
